The Brigantine Magellan Cloud, Captain Colin McDonald, arrived here from Whangarei yesterday morning at 1.30 o'clock, She left Whangarei on the afternoon of the 2nd inst., and experienced alternately light N.E. breezes and calms until off Portland Island on the morning of the 8th, when a light N. breeze sprung up and carried her to the anchorage as above. The pilot brought her inside under sail yesterday forenoon at 10 o'clock, and berthed her at the breastwork, where she starts this morning to discharge her cargo of Kamo coal, consigned to Mr H. R. Gunn.
